About Us

Thirty years ago Mr. Charles Anderson began selling puppets and puzzles - some handcrafted in his McHenry, Illinois home. Mr. Anderson loved children. He wanted them to have the visual and physical stimulus to learn to read. With the help of neighbors who fashioned cloth puppets in their homes, the product line expanded to where he needed a motor home to travel from library to library with his wares. He carried not only the puppets and puzzles but also a variety of children's books. He had big books, little books and novelty books to give children an exciting reading experience.

Soon he was known as "Mister Anderson's Company" with a store on wheels.

With the expansion of his books, puppets and puzzles, Mister Anderson began using high quality vendors to supply him products for his customer demands.

Over the years, Mister Anderson's Company expanded the product line, increased the territory exposure and introduced the world to its "Story Time Spark" with the creation of a web site, www.misterandersons.com.

Although the Mister Anderson is no longer with us his dreams and visions remain as the core values of the company he built. We continue to provide the products and guidance to help those people who have the same passion and vision to provide children with the skills to read. The original mission of Mister Charles Anderson remains the same, "To provide quality products with a spark to enhance story time for children".
